Music is a vital part of the culture of schools, with teachers regularly using music in a variety of ways and formats. In many cases, schools are covered by ‘blanket’ copyright licenses that have been negotiated on schools’ behalf.
This webinar, chaired by Every Copy Counts Director Abigail D’Amore, will be an opportunity to learn key information about the licenses schools already have, and what schools’ obligations are in terms of reporting data.
Short presentations will be given on:
- The Schools Printed Music Licence and Every Copy Counts: Viki Smith (Managing Director: Printed Music Licencing Limited) and Abigail D’Amore (Director: Every Copy Counts)
- The Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI)'s collective worship licences: Jenny Coomber (UK Service Centre Manager: CCLI)
- The Performing Rights Society (PRS) education licences: Louise Latham and Kerryn Hill (Licensing Manager: PRS)
There will then be a short Q&A session to answer any questions.
This session is suitable for any primary or secondary teacher/leader/manager with responsibility for music in the school. This will also be relevant for Music Education Hub / Music Service staff who would like to ensure they have the most up to date information to share with schools.
